The Aksu district was established and joined the districts of Antalya in 2008, initially being affiliated with the municipality of Chalkaya before changing its name to its current one. It covers an area of 445 km², includes 12 villages and one town, with a population of 76,000 people.

The Aksu district is approximately 26 km from the city center and is connected by a network of roads linking it to major neighboring cities. There is a main road leading to Mersin to the northeast, the D400 road connecting it to Alanya in the east, and also to Fethiye and Marmaris in the west along the coastal route. Additionally, Antalya Airport is located within 4.7 km of the city center. The beautiful seaside is just over 3 km to the south. Aksu, a region in Antalya, relies on agriculture for its economic income, but tourism has recently become a significant source of revenue. The Aksu district is situated to the east of Antalya, being the fifth administrative district from the east. It borders Muratpasha district to the southwest, Kepez to the west, and Dosemealti center to the southwest.

Kurşunlu Nature Reserve and its Waterfalls (Kurşunlu Şelalesi): This is one of the most famous tourist areas. The reserve spans 394 hectares, and the waterfalls rise 18 meters above the ground, making it a popular destination for tourists in the province. From the Aksu district, you can easily reach the city center of Antalya, which has educational and medical centers, as well as commercial markets with a ready and developed infrastructure. How to get from Antalya to Aksu? The fastest way to get from Antalya to Aksu is by taxi or a rented car. From Antalya, you can reach Aksu by using the AntRay tram. Municipal buses also operate to Aksu, depending on which part of the city you are traveling from.
